We wanted to send out a summary to all of our members and wrap up the 2011 LFA season we just completed. We hope that your child had a great season and had tons of fun learning about the great game of football. On behalf of the LFA Board, we would like to thank our parents, players, referees, coaches and sponsors for another great year of football in Lakeville. We would like to send a special thank you to all of the coaches that helped us out again this year, without their talents and commitment we would not be as successful as we are.

Here are a few highlights for our 2011 season:
-
Our recent mid-season survey gave us your opinions which further confirmed our goals, efforts and results are making a lasting impact with our families/players:
-
96% say LFA is providing a safe environment for our players.
-
92% of LFA players are having fun.
-
93% of LFA players are developing better football skills.
-
90% or more will return next year to play football.
While we celebrate these overall numbers, we know that every season gives us a new chance to improve upon these and your comments and ideas will help us focus our future efforts – thanks again for the tremendous feedback!!
-
We continue to have strong participation numbers in all of our leagues. We have over 1300 players in our Flag – 8th grade programs.
-
Our program costs were the same to all families as in 2010; in fact LFA has not raised our fees in approximately six years.
-
We had a phenomenal first Year in our 7th & 8th Grade Traveling Football program this year in Lakeville. We would like to thank our many parents, coaches and players for kicking off our first season with great effort, enthusiasm, and patience. We learned many things from our inaugural season in the South Suburban Youth Football League (www.ssyfl.net) and we plan on taking what we have learned and making this the best traveling football program around. In our first year we had a 7th grade team take 3rd place in the league and an 8th grade team take 4th. Congratulations to all our Panther and Cougar Traveling teams in 2011!! Special thanks to Steve Rhodus, Phil Bruno and Chris Rousemiller and all the coaches for a GREAT FIRST YEAR!!
Thanks again for a great season and as always, we will see you all on the football fields in 2012!!
